There have been some reports of malfunctions with the Verizon Smart Family companion app on the Palm. More specifically, system permissions for the app occasionally reset on their own, disconnecting the Palm from the family account services. To solve this:
- Make sure the Verizon "Companion" app is selected in the notifications menu in settings.
- Go to Settings > Notifications > Companion > Notifications switched on.
- Make sure the app is also selected in Life Mode Advanced menu. (Note: do this regardless of whether you use Life Mode or not. You may switch off Life Mode afterwards)
- Go to Settings > Life Mode > Turn on > Advanced Options > Select the app.
Doing these two things will prevent permissions from resetting on their own, and allow full tracking and supervision of your child's device.
