If you buy your Palm at Verizon, Palm can be a companion device that uses their Numbershare program to sync phone numbers between your big phone and Palm. The Verizon companion version of Palm comes with syncing calls and Verizon's proprietary message syncing app. Visit your local Verizon store or visit their website to see the companion Palm for Verizon.
If you bought your Palm unlocked through palm.com, or your carrier only sells it as a standalone device and you still want to be able to sync your calls and messages across devices, here are a few options to consider:
1. Google Voice
Google Voice allows you to sync your calls and texts across all of your devices. You can set it up in one of two ways:
- Get a free new phone number assigned to your Google Voice account.
- Port your existing phone number over to Google Voice for a fee. See this article on their support site to learn more.
Signing into your Google Voice account on your devices will allow you to send and receive calls and texts from any device with the same number.
2. DIGITS (T-Mobile)
If you are a T-Mobile user, you can sign up for DIGITS, their call and text syncing service. Get started by downloading the T-Mobile DIGITS app on Android or iOS. See this article on their support site for detailed instructions for setting this service up on your devices.
3. Social apps
You can also use alternative messaging apps such as Facebook Messenger, Google Hangouts, Snapchat, Instagram, or Twitter DMs to sync your messages. Palm has millions of apps available on Google Play.
Note: the unlocked Palm works on major carriers such as T-Mobile and Verizon. It is not compatible with the AT&T network or the Sprint network.
